Social Reinforcement of Group Sessions
Four, weekly, one-hour, online sessions facilitated by specially trained social workers.
"It was great being with other pregnant women--a needed reminder that I'm not alone in trying to create more calm and joy in my life."
Center M Fits
We have designed Center M to "Fit"--the healthcare system, to fit the workflow of clinicians and medical professionals, to fit our patient's day, and to fit budgets.
A Data Driven Solution
Pilot Findings
Results from a pilot study show depressive symptoms significantly decreased preintervention to postintervention and mindfulness capacity significantly increased preintervention to 6 weeks postpartum. Higher mindfulness at 6 weeks postpartum significantly predicted fewer depression symptoms at 6 weeks postpartum.
The Unique Needs of Minority Populations
Center M works with users and clinics that serve the unique needs of rural, Black, indigenous, Hispanic, and immigrant populations. Programs are designed to fit a busy schedule. Program content is localized.
A Case Study of Cooperation
Center M is a cross functional collaboration blending expertise in product development and commercialization, academic, clinical medicine and public health. Center M can be offered in English or Spanish. The program is currently available at OHSU, Providence, Legacy, Adventist, Samaritan, One Community Health, Aviva and Colombia Memorial health systems. Center M is also offered at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, Sky Lakes Medical Center, Bay Clinic, and La Clinica. Center M development has been guided by a number of community partners and diverse pregnant or postpartum end users, including key input from Healthy Birth Initiatives. Healthshare of Oregon and CareOregon provide reimbursement support, and guidance.

About Us
We have been working towards the birth of Center M for many years. Steeped in maternity care, maternal health research and medical product management we have the right combination of talents to bridge the silos that have prevented maternity care and mental health from arriving at a solution for our patients.
We embrace a strategy that employs traditional and non-traditional approaches. We are not afraid to challenge the status quo. In order to build bridges we know we must be active listeners, be collaborative and build together—developing partnerships to solve women’s health issues.
